LandownerIntel publishes this page and sells reports. This is not an independent ranking. We reviewed public vendor pages, not their paid products. See Sources for the links and review dates.
What do the published privacy statements actually say?
Land Owl's policy says it does not sell personal information. Read this alongside its FAQ about saved work and its service-provider disclosures. The reviewed materials do not support calling Land Owl a developer lead-selling service.
LandownerIntel does not send submitted property details to developers or brokers as leads. Its policy still describes data processing, storage, checkout, email and site measurement. Independence does not mean anonymity or that an address never leaves the service.
| Question | LandownerIntel | Land Owl |
|---|---|---|
| Developer or broker leads | Does not share submitted property information with developers or brokers as leads. | Reviewed public materials do not show sharing of private customer work with developers or brokers. |
| Saved or submitted work | Report/location data is processed and retained for report generation and delivery; see policy. | FAQ says saved parcels, tags and notes are private to the account and never shared with other users. |
| Third-party processing | Uses data, hosting, storage, payment, email and measurement providers. | Policy lists service providers, legal disclosures and business transfers. |
| Can you assume zero sharing? | No. No developer leads does not mean no service-provider processing. | No. Private from other users does not mean no service-provider processing. |
How do Land Owl and LandownerIntel differ as tools?
Land Owl describes maps for ownership, zoning and infrastructure, plus saved parcels and portfolio tools. It also offers PDF and Word reports to download or share. It is not just a map product.
LandownerIntel is more focused. It offers plain-language screening for data center proposals, with one-time PDFs advertised at $19, $29 and $39. Its grid, water and climate evidence does not establish power capacity, water rights, land value or local approval.
Land Owl lists a free plan. Paid prices differed across sections of the reviewed pricing materials, so this page does not quote a paid rate. Check current prices and plan limits with Land Owl.
What should I ask before submitting a confidential property opportunity?
Use the current policy and ask the provider. Do not infer practices from its customers. LandownerIntel wrote this dated comparison of public documents; it is not a privacy or security audit.
For solar feasibility, ask for a separate review. Changing report providers does not replace solar engineering, utility or legal checks.

- Is submitted information used for developer or broker leads, ads or model training?

- Which service providers and legal exceptions are listed?
Frequently asked questions

- Does Land Owl share my private notes with other users?
- Land Owl's official FAQ says saved parcels, tags and notes are private to your account and never shared with other users. Check the current FAQ and privacy policy for the complete terms and service-provider disclosures.
- Does LandownerIntel keep my data entirely away from third parties?
- No. Service providers help make, store, charge for and email reports. The no-developer-leads statement does not promise zero third-party processing.
- Is LandownerIntel a full replacement for Land Owl?
- No. LandownerIntel is focused on reports. Land Owl offers a broader map, saved-parcel and due-diligence workspace. Choose for the work you need.
